Is my donation tax-deductible?
Purchasing a Causes Gift Card at your local Safeway or Vons store constitutes a tax-deductible donation to Network for Good, a Section 501(c)(3) public charity. You can use your purchase receipt for tax purposes. If you received the Causes Gift Card as a gift and allocate the value of the card to the charity of your choice, your donation is not tax-deductible (the purchaser of the card received the tax-deduction).

Where do my gift card funds go?
Your gift card funds are managed by Network for Good , a nonprofit donor-advised fund. Network for Good will allocate your funds to the charity of your choice.

What if my card number isn't working?
If your card number isn't working, please email support+giftcards@causes.com with your Causes Gift Card number and describe what went wrong. Please include relevant screen shots if possible. We will get back to you within 48 hours.

Where can I buy Causes Gift Cards?
Causes Gift Cards are available in denominations of $25 and $50 dollars at Safeway and Vons stores in California. Go to the Safeway Store Locator to find a store near you!

Why should I login with Facebook?
With Facebook, we can keep track of your gift card for you. You will never have to re-enter your card number, and we can send you a verification of your donation. You will also be able to share your donation with friends, showing them what you care about, by posting a note to your Facebook Wall. This is all for your benefit and we respect your privacy.

What should I donate to?
Great question! Causes has worked with nonprofits to offer you a variety of custom fundraising projects to donate to. These projects specify exactly where your funds will go and the impact that you will have. We recommend browsing through the projects on causes.com/donate to find one that you want to support.

If you have a charity in mind already, simply search for it and you will be able to make a donation to their general fund. Or if your looking for a way to help your local community, search by your zip code and we will surface organizations doing work in your area.

Why can't I find my favorite charity?
Causes can process donations to any registered 501(c)(3) in the United States. Your favorite charity may be a foundation or advocacy group that cannot accept donations on Causes. Not to worry. Search for the charity of your choice or check out the categories section of causes.com/donate to find an organization doing work that you care about.

Why do you want my email?
After you allocate your gift card funds on Causes, we will send you a confirmation email with more information about the charity that you have chosen to support. We will not spam you or release your information to anyone else, we promise

Why can't I donate to more than one charity with my gift card?
We know it's hard to choose between so many great campaigns but we want your gift card to have the biggest impact possible. That means contributing as much as you can to the fundraising project or charity of your choice, so give and give big!
