Dell Reconnect: Pledge to recycle your old computer equipment by donating it to Goodwill

We've all heard it before, "out with the old in with the new." With your new technology from the holiday season, "out" usually means stashing old electronic products in attics, garages, or garbage bags bound for the local dump.

As you replace old products with new, we strive to do our part to keep e-waste out of landfills by pledging to recycle 1 billion pounds of used electronics by 2014. But we can't do with without your help. That's why we created Dell Reconnect, a partnership with Goodwill Industries^® that gives you an easy and convenient way to recycle your outdated technology.

You can simply drop off their unwanted computer equipment (of any brand, in any condition) at one of nearly 2,500 Goodwill's participating locations in the United States or Canada, where the items are evaluated and either responsibly recycled or resold through Goodwill stores.

As if you needed one more reason to get rid of all that clutter - every donation helps someone in your community with disabilities or disadvantages receive work and life skills through this Dell-sponsored program. You'll also keep e-waste from ending up in landfills and enable many families to buy the quality, affordable goods they need.
