We’re a bunch of folks coming together to help people change the world. Despite our do-gooder mission, you won’t catch the lingering scent of patchouli in the hallway. Causes is a tech company that is focused on providing smart solutions to tough problems.

Walk into our office and you’ll quickly know if Causes is the right place for you; on any given day, you’ll find developers pairing up for coding sessions, talks from nonprofit superstars, and a spirited debate about the latest TED talk. We’re a close-knit team that brings passion to everything we do—from designing elegant products to building sculptures out of spaghetti.

Office

The Causes office is smack in the middle of downtown San Francisco, conveniently located just one block from Montgomery BART. High up on the 21st floor, the space offers tons of natural light and a fantastic view. Since we think people work best when they don’t feel chained to their desk (no matter how awesome their desk is), we’ve designed the office to be as flexible as possible. The office is also fitted with all sorts of smaller rooms to allow collaboration, plus a library, video conference room, game room, and lots more.

Gear

We want everyone at Causes to have whatever they need to do their best work. Upon starting, you’ll get to create whatever sort of crazy Matrix configuration will make you the most effective. That means new employees get their laptop of choice, along with as many monitors as they need.

Food

We offer catered lunches in the office four days a week, and on Fridays we venture out into the real world to get some fresh air. There’s always a wide assortment of food and drinks on hand to keep you going throughout the day, and we’re happy to provide whatever treat your inner foodie desires.

In addition, we host a Friday happy hour every week and have a variety of beers on tap. It turns out that saving the world is more fun with a little buzz.
