After seeing the Lorax, 8 year old Emily became inspired to celebrate Earth Day by planting trees in her San Joaquin Valley neighborhood. Emily, the daughter of our program assistant Valerie, has a respiratory illness known as Valley Fever and is effected by poor air quality more than most children.

Why is this campaign important to you?
On Jan 18th, the Hupacasath First Nation filed a legal injunction that could stop the passage of the Canada-China FIPA. With only 300 members spread across a remote area of Vancouver Island, the Hupacasath have taken on the burden of a David and Goliath struggle to defend all of our rights.
