Ok so i agree that we should have more humane treatment of these animals but i am by no means saying that i would stop eating meat. I've done that once before and got very sick. Humans are supposed to eat meat and besides i LOVE it...mmm. in fact i just made a huge pot of venison chili.

I'm a born again Christian and I agree. While the Bible says we can eat meat, we must still watch out for Proverbs 12:10 where it writes, 'The righteous man cares for the life of his beast, but the compassion of the wicked is cruel. --- When I eat meat I only eat organic which hasn't been confined or has suffered during it's life. --- I also only do organic dairy. --- The way the animals are treated nowdays in factory farms is horrible! We must as Christians obey God's word and watch WHAT we eat in terms of meat and dairy. --- The HSUS is about reduce, refine, replace. It's not about being a vegan although that's fine too.

You people all need to realize that there are things worse off in our country than animals, LIKE HUMANS!!! Get off your high horse and stop thinking you are better than everyone because you eat no animal products. It says in the bible that God put animals on this earth for man to eat. If you think that receiving three meals a day, proper health care, and all the water you can drink is inhumane, then there is a problem. Stop looking at only one side of the issue, get away from listening to the Liberal media, and look at the facts and both sides of the issue. If you have any questions about my side of the issue, feel free to write me.

Since humans are now considered animals, and a lot of animals are carnivores, I see no problem with people eating meat.

HSUS is a worthy humane cause -- even if they do not have a "no-kill" policy. These things take time and lots of patience. Other worthy human causes are ASPCA, Nature Conservancy, PETA, and Alley Cat Allies. May all humanity have more compassion for the animal kingdon in 2010! And, may humanity have more compassion for itself in 2010!
