1,200 Students in Uganda now have access to clean water!

Northern Uganda has faced immense adversity in the past decade. The LRA has wreaked havoc on this region and stunted the region's growth. But now that the LRA is gone, lasting partnerships and integrated community development (education, water, health care, etc) are turning these communities around. Communities are investing in their future and seeing transformation that is saving lives on a daily basis.

The Teomgora Primary School is a BEAUTIFUL example of what this looks like. Before Blood:Water Mission and our local partners came into this community, many children did not have the ability to go to school. They were either walking long distances to retrieve water for their families, or they were too sick from water born diseases like dysentery. In fact, many children were dying from the disease.

Now, a well has been drilled next to this school, and children are going through sanitation and hygiene education. This community no longer has water born disease, and children are back in school.

This is something that should make us all cheer, but we cannot forget that our work is not finished. Take a journey with us, and let's continue to walk alongside communities like Teomgora: http://www.bloodwatermission.com/communitybuilder
