FREE LEGAL ADVICE CLINIC IN BARBERTON

Community Legal Aid’s Volunteer Legal Services Program (VLSP) will team up with local attorneys for the East Barberton Legal Counsel and Advice Clinic on Thursday, March 19, 2009. The Clinic, co-sponsored by Amer Cunningham Co., L.P.A., offers free legal advice on a walk-in basis to Barberton residents who cannot afford a lawyer. Local attorneys, who generously volunteer their time and expertise, will be available to meet with individuals and answer their legal questions in a confidential setting.

The clinic is held at the Barberton Library, 602 West Park Avenue, Barberton Ohio. Pre-registration is not necessary, but individuals who wish to participate in the clinic should arrive between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to register. The clinic is not first-come, first-served. The lawyers will meet with and advise individuals based upon their own areas of expertise.

Potential participants seeking more information about the East Barberton Legal Counsel and Advice Clinic should call the Volunteer Legal Services Program at 330-983-2695.

Attorneys interested in volunteering for the VLSP should call Managing Attorney Jennifer van Dulmen at 330-983-2531.

Low-income individuals with a legal problem should call the Community Legal Aid HelpLine at 1-800-998-9454.
