International Humanities Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
Does anybody know if this pre-K for AIDS orphans is at all related to Fr. Terry Charlton, SJ's high school for AIDS orphans also in Nairobi (just outside of the Kibera slum)? If someone knows, post here or you can also email me at scottsmith81@gmail.com. Thanks.

***LAST 24 HOURS ((ADOPT-A-PERSON)) Weekend Campaign Challenge***
Please don't worry about any other groups. Let's just look at our very own Cause today and give thanks for all the people who are getting a second chance. I am asking everyone with my whole heart to please not provoke other groups as it only ends up hurting both sides in the end.
Every year, nearly 10 million children die, totally preventable deaths. Six million of these lives could be saved by basic, cost-effective measures. We are a COMMUNITY, an amazing group of people dedicated to the belief that "every child counts". Please let's only worry about the children today and no one else. We have already "won" because so many beautiful children will receive the adequite care they need thanks to your donations.
Come on moms and dads, brothers, sisters, friends, co-workers. Whether you are at work, at home in your pajamas, in class, or wherever you are! Come on everyone who believes that every child deserves a chance at life. We can do this together! But we need ALL of your help right now. Find just one more person who can join our Campaign and give £2.50. Thank you for your unbelievable compassion and kindness, and for your TRUE BELIEF that children & people do matter.
Please, everyone...let's keep this contest about one thing only...the kids who need our help. That is ALL that matters.
((ADOPT-A-PERSON)) Weekend Campaign Challenge from January 31st - February 3rd 2008.
Basically, you give up one item for one of these days or all four days, and donate £2.50 to fight poverty; every £2.50 will feed one person for an ENTIRE MONTH, for LESS THAN THE COST OF A STARBUCKS LATTE!
In 2007 we helped 1,880 families, representing 8,184 individuals through this campaign. Let us not stop now**
(Note: All proceeds from this fundraiser go directly to people located in South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan & Rwanda.)

I am leaving for Naiobi tomorrow (11 Sept) I am also volunteering with GVN, only for 2 weeks, but I applaud all you are doing and want to DO something.
