Petition to make animal abuse a more serious offense!
People who love theyre pets should sign this because there are people out there who would hurt an inocent animal and not care because there is no reason to. the law will smack them on the wrist and often times they go right back to hurting our friends.Its up to us to stop this madness.

These causes are ALL very important to me, but I truly DO feel that these causes would be better served if your grammar, punctuation, and spelling were correct! With the type of typos/misspellings and lack of proper punctuation that I see (as an English teacher) in your requests to highly educated judges and the like, I don't believe that they will take you seriously. and I agree with Laura, get over yourselves, how many languages do you speak and do you know how old is the English language? it's not as old as you think it is! by the way, do you think Sarah Palin , can spell?
I am Dyslexic and I Have graduated College and when people think they are smarter them me because I can not spell and when people comment on how people spell. I say get over yourself and Kiss my as*. It's not your place to correct others. People like you have no compassion for others.
Because domesticated animals cannot generally defend themselves against a human. Anyone who abuses or is thinking of abusing a helpless animal should instead come and "play" with me for awhile.

I am an animal lover. My daughters great grandma passed away and we inherited in her cat chloe this was better than inheriting money. Unforunatley she passed away my daughter went to her grandparents for christmas when she passed away. I had to get a kitten before she got home I couldn't decide so I took two kittens. It's 2 years that we have josie and george they are like my kids. I can't understand how people can be so cruel to animals they are as smart as a human.
I can't understand it either. But we people aren't so kind to one another sometimes, and felines and canines in the wild can be very aggressive too.
Animals are aggressive only when they are scared; I feed racoons, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks and they come by me and recognize me, and they keep on going because they know they are safe with me. I don't try to pet them, there's when they could get scared and hurt me. I also feed birds and any other creatures that come by my house. I honestly liek them better than people

I'm sorry to inform you that the little guy in the picture was later put down because of the severity of the wounds. The people that hurt him was given time served for spending the week end in jail.
