I am an ordinary Georgian. I DO NOT treat Abkhazians as my enemies because they are my brothers. Abkhazians and other Georgians have never been enemies of each other until Russia came in Caucasus. Russia needs divided Caucasians in order to be our governor like it was in past. We all (Abkhazians and other Georgians) need to learn something from our common history (we never had different history!) in order to arrange our common future by ourselves and without Russian interference!
Hello,
I want you to watch that documentary , it is really impressive to see what has happened in near future. And with confessions you can understand why Abkhazians are not trusting Georgia. I hope you give some of your time and watch it.

About displaced people , who are displaced from Abkhazia. Do you think Abkhazia is strictly rejecting to accept them back? If this is what they are telling to you, this is lie .. Abkhazia already declared that they are ready to talk about it if there will be healthy relations with Georgia. Isnt it good point for you? And todays management of Georgia is not ready for healthy relation with Abkhazia. You should understand it. It is all about trust between two sides.
We need more communication between us and without communication we can not come together.
Look there are some activities happening already, hope you also try to understand each other.

You are mostly just judging us, and I am wondering what have you done for peace? what have you done to stop war in 1992 and 2008 ... In both wars there was chance not to start a war. We all know it. So we have to guarantee first not to live same things in the future.

Is it in Georgia too sunny now? Where did it hit your head? :) I am sorry for you if you thing that this cause had taken Abkhazia and Abkhazians from you away and it is cause of all problems. Get some education, refresh your mind ... You may need to relax! Hope to see you back in better shape ;)
I think this is the title of the topic deliberately divides us into two parties. Such topics often provocative are KGB agents. I think that you should not discuss the theme of friendship among the people. Abkhazia is one of the parts of Georgia, as well as Guria, Mingrelia, Racha, Imereti, Acar, Meskheti, Kartli, Kakheti, Svaneti. . .
Raising the question in this context has already torn apart. What sways language, the author of this debate probably did not know that Georgia is multi-ethnic and multi-lingual country. And the author of this discussion also does not know that it is in Georgia, these minorities have preserved their identity (language, culture). For example in North Ossetia (Russia), thanks to the policy of Moscow, the Ossetian language seldom heard.
P.S.
Invitation to this group often gets in the spam box. I think of the fact that many do not understand or do not wish to join the discussion, which only sbosobstvuyut development of the conflict. We lived together and will in the future to live together. We are one people.
To Alper Gultekin Tseykhua: The idea about friendship between Abkhazia and Georgia as two independent states seems to be one-sided and superficial. The friendship can exist when there exists trusts. And if there exists trust between two groups , two nations or two communities, then it is possible to consider various options of co-existence rather than the one about two independent and "friendly" states...
My Mom is Abhazian(Ketsbaia) my dad was Megrelian. I consider myself Georgian from both my parents' side. Well, I am American Georgian now. I have many Abhazian relatives. My two cousins were killed in the war with Abhazia. I love Abhazian culture and how they treat elderly. Georgia and Abhazia should be one, united, live in peace and friendship! I would love to see my auts and ancles return to their homes in Sukhumi. They where ousted from their homes, eventhough they were Abhazians, only because they didn't support Abhaz Seperatists....
Forget, Forgive, Move on!!
Alper
why is that you are the only Abkhazian in this Cause
maybe you should invite some more abkhazian people here and we could listen to their idea also
@Irakli
good point, often is said 'choice of people' but what it exactly meant is 'people except around 70% ethnic Georgians' who are the people of Abkhazia too. So the choice was made not by People, not by all.
Alper,
I do understand you passion of calling all what happened "the choice of people". I won't argue with that cuz right now it won't get us anywhere. Since we are talking about friendship here, I have one simple question: Do people that made "the choice" mentioned by you care about returning Georgians to there homes? Would you accept the fact of returning about 250 000 people to their homes under any circumstances?
@Alper
How do you see future of Abkhazia? Could you explain? It may help to get some ideas what about could sides agree at all.
Daer artemida kopatsja w istorii nada i nujno, neznanie makes you believe the nonesense that every conscius person would understand is a lie. One should now the history to tell the truth from lie. I know its very difficult to stay objective in your condition but at least try to find out some facts from the history of Goergia and try not to limit Yourself withe soviet period but go further in the past. As to your conflict experience I know that war is cruel why havenot you ever found out what the "other side" committed.. just try to open both of your eyes, and listen with both of Your ears
