I am part of one of those military families...my son is serving in the Army as I write this. I am the founder of Trips 4 Troops, a non-profit organization that is raising funds to help our soldiers and their families reconnect by providing funds for travel related expenses. My son will not be home for the holidays this year and it's my first Christmas without him. My son will not be home for the holidays this year and it's my first Christmas without him. Needless to say, I am very sad that he is not coming home but, through my organization, with the help of my facebook page, I have met many military family members and all of them are having a hard time not having their loved one home with them, especially during the holidays. I say thank you to them every day through my page! I just want to say this is a great cause and I, personally, would like to thank the founders of this cause for doing what they are doing to support our troops and their families! Sending much love from this Army Mom! Thank you, thank you, and thank you again!

Thank you for your prayers and thoughts!

Because the military defend our country. And stay gone for months on end away from their families.. They serve willingly.

I met a vet at the airport and we both road the Fly Away bus from LAX. His story moved me, he was 92 that day, and rather than thinking about himself, he was fighting to get a soldier his Purple Heart sent to his family who is without their soldier, father, and husband. The pain that this man felt for this family is diminishing more and more in todays society. That young man died for OUR country and left a family behind. We all should support this cause.

Read this at work and almost made me cry. Can't sell sunglasses with tears in my eyes. Thanks Taylor... ;)

Tech projects to support military families, like MyMilitaryLife.

Because it's too easy to only recognize the ones serving and forget about the families left behind. If there are thousands of deployed military members, there are millions of family members affected.

U are so right. I didnt think even when i lost my son, how deeply painful it was for my other three to lose their older brother.

first of all for my freedom, second can't imagine not being with family during Christmas and finally for all their work they do for us.

My daughter is CAPT BECKY A

I am proud to say that my son-in-law has and is still active duty with the army. He has served 3 tours. I know how hard it is for the families that left behind. I am so thank-ful for all the service men & women who flight for a cause, freedom & safety. I hope & pray that you all come home very soon, to be with your families! God Bless everyone you serves or served!
