Women need to advocate for themselves - these special causes are vital - don't forget mental health - it's a critical link in overcoming domestic violence, homelessness, alienation and the other ails that keep women from achieving their potential. Good luck to you all!

Did you know that in Miami Dade County:
• Nearly 40% of single female headed household live at or below the poverty level
• 86% of single female headed households live below self-sufficiency
• Only 46% of all women who work earn enough to be self sufficient
• 67% of working women are employed in occupations with a wage below the median wage
• Nearly 20% of women who work are underemployed
• Only 51% of women working full-time have healthcare coverage, compared to a national average of 66%
• Only 26% of working women have a retirement plan compared to 41% of all U.S. working women
Miami is the 5th poorest city in the country. Now more than ever, the women and girls here need help. Please help the Women's Fund of Miami move women out of poverty into economic security.
