I am volunteering with Noah's BArk. It's a non-profit rescue facility that saves dogs from high kill shelter and specializes in finding loving homes for the hard to place dogs. I get to see first hand what happens to dogs then they are no longer wanted or someone is unable to care for their pet any longer. Whether they come from a puppy mill or a back yard breeder unwanted dogs are either euthanized or hopefully rescued from organizations like Noah's BArk and given a second chance. Please have you pets spayed or neutered. It will save many pets lives.
Petland in NM closed its doors - too bad they didn't work with the shelters to adopt out pets instead.
Kenosha, WI - Dairyland Greyhound Racetrack will be closing on December 31st - 900 Greyhounds will need to be adopted otherwise be killed. They are very loving and laid back. They have been crated most of their lives and they sleep about 18 hours a day. Dogs are tested to see ...if they are cat friendly. They only have 6 weeks. OUR YOUNGEST DASCHUND WAS A RESCUE PUPPY FROM A LOCAL DEALER. SHE WAS NEAR DEATH WHEN WE GOT HER, TO DATE SHE IS THE JOY OF JOHNS HEART.
