Fostering Imagination

Fostering Imagination was founded in 2005 to address the unmet needs of this special needs population. Each year as a community, we parent 500,000 abused and neglected children in America's foster care systems. These youth lack exposure to stimulating childhood activities that our own children often take for granted. Fostering Imagination's fundamental mission is to foster support, and nurture imagination, creation and talent by providing opportunities and encouragement to foster youth through enrichment programs that include: (1) a Referral Program; (2) a Theatre Program; (3) a Travel Program; and (4) an Adventure Program. These programs are greatly needed by foster children because they currently have limited access to programs in which they can participate. By providing foster children access to extracurricular activities we are giving them the opportunity to realize their full potential in a place that will provide them with stability and support in their troubled lives.
