Very excited about this! ICC is launching our first "Special Blessings" campaign to give you the ability to touch the persecuted in a more tangible way.
This year, we're giving you the opportunity to fill shoeboxes full of gifts for our orphans from Burma; to give gifts to Iraqi refugees who have been forced to flee their homes; to write letters to the wives of martyed pastors in Nigeria, and to write letters to Christians who lost their homes in Gojra, Pakistan.
*Bonus!* We're going to need a lot of help to make this as effective as possible, so we're looking for volunteers. Local and other US opportunities available. Give us a call (1-800-ICC-5441) or e-mail us ( icc@persecution.org ) if you're interested.
This is also a great opportunity for churches to adopt one of the projects to get their congregation aware and involved with the persecuted church.

Your donations are going to assist the persecuted. For instance, we've just helped rebuild homes for Christians who were attacked in Gojra, Pakistan, and also in Nigeria. We helped a number of widows in Nigeria, whose husbands were recently martyred, with extra funds to get back on their feet. Their husbands were pastors. One of the widows told us she's using the money to start a business and to help other women who have suffered a similar fate.
ICC spends very little on development, and we're just exploring the possibilities of social media to get more people aware of the persecuted. We think spending a little on a "prize" to help motivate others to spread the word about persecution will pay off for the persecuted in terms of the greater numbers who become aware of their situation and can pray and give as the Father moves their heart.
