In memory of Hall of Fame Pirates Baseball Player Willie Stargell, become a Stargell Star and help us fight kidney disease, support research for this disease and help individuals suffering

Founded in the memory of Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Fame Baseball Player Willie Stargell, the Willie Stargell Foundation is a non-profit organization raising money for kidney disease research and treatment for those living with the disease.

The Willie Stargell Foundation has raised nearly one million dollars with donations benefiting the Willie “Pops” Stargell Dialysis Center at New Hanover County Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina, the American Kidney Foundation, the National Kidney Foundation, UNCW School of Nursing and Cape Fear Community College School of Nursing. In addition, the foundation has assisted local kidney disease patients with their medical bills.
