About Four Directions Grave Injustice

To work for the return of indigenous peoples' human remains and cultural property from UK museums.

To work for the return of indigenous peoples' human remains and cultural property from UK museums.

The museums of Britain and the rest of Europe hold significant quantities of colonised native peoples’ human remains and cultural items. Many of these, whether exhibited or stored, were taken from indigenous communities and archaeological sites without permission.

Four Directions UK is working to end this "Grave Injustice". We identify what is held in UK collections and disseminate this information to native people. If requested we will then help to facilitate discussions between native people and museums, ultimately to achieve repatriation of human remains and associated cultural items.

We have already been successful in securing repatriations and with your support we can build on our early successes.
