I was diagnosed with Stage III colorectal cancer at my first screening colonoscopy. I had no unusual symptoms. I just went in for my 50 year check-up. If I had not been able to afford that screening, I would not have known I had cancer, and might not be alive today. I was lucky. My husband had recently started a job with very good health coverage. Not everyone is so fortunate. I want to change that. I want everyone to have access to the same lifesaving care I was fortunate enough to have had.
My dad diagnosed with colorectal cancer in February 2006. He is still fighting hard. We are fighting to kick colorectal cancer's butt!!!!!
