About Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation

To Raise Funds for the Benefit of the Order.

In 1981 the Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation (KAOEF) was founded, and began operations with a single $100 donation from then Knight Commander, Loren Hanson. Its mission, was as simple then as it is today, “To raise funds for the benefit of the Order”, and its purpose, was to assist the Order in solving its most difficult challenges, by soliciting support from alumni across the country. With 40% of our undergraduates attending Province Council every year, and every chapter officer, and Number I receiving training; I can tell you the results we have seen from our undergraduate chapters in recent years are nothing short of incredible. Our Order wide GPA this past Spring was a 2.8 cumulative, the highest in KA’s history. We have not had a major risk management violation against one of our chapters in past 5 years. Our membership numbers have grown to over 6,000, and last fall’s recruitment numbers were the highest in the last 15 academic years. I can tell you for the first time in recent memory, everything that is supposed to be up, is up! And everything that is supposed to down, is down! It is a true testament to the high level of support the KAOEF has been able to provide Kappa Alpha Order, and a true testament to the types of undergraduate men our chapters continue to recruit. It also shows that when a KA alumnus, or undergraduate, decides to support the Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation through donations, he is arguably making the best investments in the lives of young men that is available to date.
