For more than 25 years, the NCC has educated congregations on critical environmental issues such as ozone depletion, the environmental impacts of hurricane Katrina, wilderness protection, climate change, green buildings, and environmental health. Central to the Eco-Justice program is the promotion of environmentally healthy and vibrant communities. The NCC’s Eco-Justice Program has undertaken a wide range of educational and organizational activities. We serve as a forum to highlight the best work of our member denominations, state faith organizations, and local churches. We also act as a bridge to the traditional environmental community by “translating” the secular into the spiritual.
1. The Earth is God's Creation
2. We are called, as people of faith, to protect it.
