COMPASS is a school and social services agency dedicated to serving high-risk, economically disadvantaged youth, adolescents and families with behavioral, social, emotional and educational disabilities. Since our founding in 1974, we have provided school-based, family-based, and wrap-around services to over 20,000 people.
Our mission is to equip those we serve with the skills to become self-sufficient productive members of their communities and society.
Our services include: outreach, advocacy, education, crisis intervention, vocational preparation, enrichment, diagnostics, emergency services, consulting services and individual and family counseling and support services.

1. COMPASS supports and serves over 1,000 people a year through four programs:
2. Comprehensive Support and Stabilization, comprehensive services for families and children referred by the MA Department of Children and Families
3. COMPASS School, a school for emergency and long-term education of high-risk students with emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities
4. Intensive Support Program, an intensive support program to help high-risk adolescents remain and succeed in high school and beyond.
5. After School Action Program, A remediation and academic enrichment program for students at an alternative school in Dorchester.
