The loss of natural habitats all over the world is one of the largest problems with the deminishment of animal populations. The parks these animals live on is all that's left for some. Future development is not needed there...the animals nature intended to thrive in these areas desperately need what little habitat they have left.

Thank you for signing!! :)

This just defeats the purpose of having a national park. It's time to stop destroying the beauty that nature has given us and start helping it!

Thank YOU for bringing these type of petitions and causes to my attention!!

Anytime :)

The loss of habitat for these animals is bad enough with numbers falling at an all time high every year!! Kruger does NOT need any hotels!! Put the money towards something useful like stopping poachers and protect these animals!!

The proposed hotels will use valuable water resources that should belong to the wildlife. The increase in road traffic will place wildlife under threat - there is already a problem with speeding and roadkill - this will only make it worse. Even the number of staff required to man such hotels will be placing huge pressure on resources and, given that , in some cases, staff have been implicated in poaching, may well lead to increased poaching.

NOOOOOO!!!!!! this is soooo wrong. signing!

I think we have lost the ethic of a game reserve - put the hotels on the fringes - limit buses and use only game viewing vehicles (however, the commercial ones already behave badly in Kruger). There needs to be more control on the number of people being allowed into Kruger at any one time to protect the natural environment, the animals (to whom the park ultimately belongs... people behind fences and animals at home roaming free). The iSimangaliso Wetland Park in KwaZulu-Natal has a quota of...

The iSimangaliso Wetland Park in KwaZulu-Natal has a quota of entrants per day, maybe Kruger needs this as well.
Imagine even greater loads of tourist buses roaring through at dusk to make the gate closing on time! Maybe Kruger should emulate the example of the private game reserves (who have concessions to enter the park) but they have a very strict code of conduct - e.g. only two vehicles allowed per siting - a mommy leopard with cubs... or... the list is long. The tourists are interested in the Big 5 the Small 5 - where is the appreciation of what Kruger really has to offer! Isabel
