The American Constitution Society for Law and Policy

Your donation goes to support the core mission of:
The American Constitution Society for Law and Policy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit

Founded in 2001, ACS is a rapidly growing network of lawyers, law students, scholars, judges, policymakers and other concerned individuals. Our mission is to ensure that fundamental principles of human dignity, individual rights and liberties, genuine equality, and access to justice enjoy their rightful, central place in American law.

ACS aims to revitalize and transform the legal and policy debates occurring in law school classrooms, federal and state courtrooms, legislative hearing rooms and the media. Through student and lawyer chapters all across the country, and programs and projects at both the national and local level, ACS promotes a progressive vision of the Constitution, law and public policy; educates lawyers, law students, decision-makers and the public about the historic basis and vitality of such a vision and its importance for the lives of real people; strengthens the intellectual underpinnings for progressive law and policy in the United States; and continues to build a diverse and dynamic national network.

ACS has a Facebook Cause! By joining and contributing an amount as small as $10, you can help ACS win as much as $50,000 before February 1st!

How does it work?
ACS is participating in the Facebook Giving Challenge, which awards grants to organizations with the most individual donors to their "cause." They are giving away large prizes (up to $50,000) for the organizations with the most total donors by February 1st, and smaller cash prizes for those organizations that have the most donors in each 24-hour period.

So here's how to help:
ACS is sponsoring a 24-hour challenge: Starting on this Wednesday, January 16th at 3 p.m. until Thursday, January 17th at 3 p.m., ACS will be competing for a $1000 grant for the organization with the most donations within that 24-hour period. We are asking that, if possible, you donate during this time period. Remember, it's the number of individual donors that count (not the amount donated) so encourage your friends to donate as well!
