Each year, programs and performances by The Center for Contemporary Dance, Inc. reach thousands of children of all ages, races and economic backgrounds. With your support, we can inspire, educate and impact many more. Please consider giving a child the gift of the arts by making a donation today. With every $10 donation, we’re able to provide one child access to an arts education program or performance free of charge.

RESULTS AND SUCCESS:
►For the 2009 calendar year, 1,214 underserved children received free access to arts education programs and performances by The Center for Contemporary Dance.

►Participants are successfully impacted through ongoing partnerships with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida, the Orange County Arts Education Center, and public schools across 5 Central Florida counties.

►All programs are conducted in accordance with the National Standards for Dance Education and contain curriculum connections with lesson plans designed in compliance with Florida Sunshine State Standards.

►Data for 2009 shows that over 86% of program participants experience improvement in academic studies, self-esteem, critical thinking and/or overall well-being. More than 88% of teenage cohorts who regularly attend programs are accepted into college.

►100% of program participants report a strong interest in attending future arts education programs by The Center for Contemporary Dance. Your gift of $10 will make this possible for one child.

IMPACT OF YOUR SUPPORT:
$10 covers the cost of a single dance class for one underserved child.

$50 subsidizes the cost of 5 performance tickets for students from Title I public schools.

$100 covers the cost of one-hour dance workshop for 10 inner-city youth.

$250 funds a month of full-time classes for one underserved child.

$500 gives 25 inner-city youth free access to a performance, including bus transportation.

$1,000 funds a month of academic tutoring for 10 underserved students preparing for entry into a university dance program.

$2,000 funds a 2-month Arts Education program at a Title I public school, impacting 40 underserved students.
