Change a Destiny is a non profit that helps the poor, the orphaned and those rescued from prostitution through funds raised through the sales of Mercy House Coffee. The coffee is grown in Northern Thailand in villages that were so poor that they used to sell their own children. Now the villages are growing coffee and prospering instead selling their children. We have orphanages we work with in both Thailand and Cambodia. The funds raised through coffee sales sustain orphanages that do the roasting and packaging of the coffee. The funds raised through coffee sales have also allowed us to invest in other businesses that allow the orphanages to be self supporting. We were able to purchase 2 mushroom farms this past year that will supply 100 percent of the funds needed to run an orphanage in Northern Thailand. We were also able to purchase a farm for an orphanage in Cambodia that will supply chicken, fish, rice and vegetables.
