Ending Homelessness - Portland Rescue Mission

To bring hope and total life recovery to hurting men, women, and children in Portland, Oregon who are without a home.

Since 1949, caring people like you have been working to end homelessness in the Portland, Oregon area along with the Portland Rescue Mission. Your generosity provides hot meals and warm beds to thousands of hungry men, women, and children every year. But Portland Rescue Mission is much more than a soup kitchen. The hope they offer begins with a simple meal, but invites each person toward recovery through counseling, job training, education and life skills training, addiction support groups, legal assistance, and emotional healing. Residents of the Mission's program graduate in 12-18 months with a brand new start on life, empowered to break the generational cycle of homelessness.

1. Men, women and children who face tough times need our help with food and shelter. Together, we can offer them relief.

2. People who are addicted, abused, lost and lonely need our help to overcome their circumstances. Together, we can offer them healing.

3. People who are poor, hurting and outcast need our compassion and restoration of their dignity. Together, we can offer them hope.
