The Airport was there long time back,when British Gurkha recruiting was active,but that was only for the single engine small aircraft.with visual flight rules in the present Golf coarse.Now we need to be upgrade for the larger twin engine aircraft with Instrument Flying rules. whether you like it or not it will definitely comes in future.
I've been hearing this news for the past 3 years which, if implemented, would be a great advantage for the locals since the majority of air travellers appears to be from Dharan itself. I have travelled to and from Ktm on numerous times and had also encountered unforeseen "Bandh" on several occasions. I therefore, fully support not only the campaign but urge the government to step towards its implementation as it apparently help boost the local businesses and also reduce unemployment to some extent.
