WHO WE ARE
More than 25 major world conflicts are going on right now. More than 700 natural disasters will have happened by the end of this year. In the United States alone, approximately 1 million people don’t have a home to sleep in tonight.
With numbers like these, non-profit organizations aren’t luxuries—they’re necessities. Society needs them to provide medical support, to care for orphans, to build houses…the list goes on and on. We don’t want to think about what the world will be like without non-profits or the people who give their time and energy to bring peace and positive change into their communities.
That’s why we started the Sophia Peace Center. Think of it as a refueling station for non-profit organizations. This is where they go to recharge, to receive training and education, to learn how to implement their strategies and to strengthen their missions. We position ourselves as an instrumental factor in launching non-profits to success by providing the necessary tools and services that many organizations lack.
WHAT WE DO
So how does the Sophia Peace Center help non-profit organizations succeed in their missions?
• We provide free or low-cost, professionally facilitated retreats
• We offer consulting services for strategic planning
• We help set up team-building activities and communication exercises
• We provide guided meditations and an environment for relaxation and contemplation
Without the proper setting and the proper tools, non-profits often find it difficult to accomplish their goals. In short, the Sophia Peace Center cultivates an environment of empowerment, transformation, inspiration and peace while providing all the tools necessary for success.
WHO WE HELP
The Sophia Peace Center helps any non-profit organization that is committed to peace and positive change in their communities. Non-profits in all sectors—environmental, social justice, health, social services, religious/spiritual and more—can all benefit from the Sophia Peace Center’s services.
WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES
Your donations go to the Sophia Peace Center, which in turn helps other non-profit groups. Contributions help run, maintain and improve the Peace Center on all levels, as well as, help provide non-profit groups with better services.
1. Peace on earth is possible.
2. People working for positive causes have limited opportunities to regroup, recharge and restrategize to make the most of their resources.
3. Supporting and rejuvenating those people who are working for positive change will help create peace in the world.
