The Gulf coast oil spill is a terrible disaster with serious impacts on people lives, communities, animals, and the environment – we need to make sure BP cleans it up and we need to make sure it never happens again by banning offshore drilling.
The Student PIRGs are independent statewide student organizations working to solve the problems our country faces. We team student activism with professional advocacy to make a real difference in people's lives and win concrete changes to build a better world.
We're working with thousands of students across the country to stand up against offshore drilling. Be a part of this effort by joining our cause, recruiting your friends and donating to help fund the campaign.
1. While we can’t stop the flow of oil from BP’s oil spill, we can make sure it doesn’t happen again.
2. We're getting President Obama to reinstate a permanent offshore drilling moratorium.
3. We're keeping an eye on BP to make sure they do everything possible to stop the spill, cleanup the Gulf, and compensate residents for damages.
