According to an article in 'The Times' the average wage bill for the 23 players in the England World Cup squad is £2.5 million, with Robert Green on £30k , the lowest paid and John Terry the highest paid on £180k a week. After their dismal performance in the World Cup, wouldn't it be a great gesture if the whole squad gave a weeks wages to help for hero's. David Beckham on his trip to Afghanistan said the Armed Forces were the REAL Hero's, why not support them with just one weeks wages?
