Several years ago Michael designed the image of four silhouetted hands spelling out the word love. Michael knows that hands are a very expressive part of the human body, and also recognizes that the image requires the action of the makers. Both traits are important attributes of love. The style of the hands are free of classification. He silhouetted the hands to further their ambiguity. He does not want the image to belong to anyone specifically but wants it to belong to everyone.
