I really love this cause. I truly believe that we are beginning to see the next major civil rights movement of our time. Our country is founded on the premise that all men are created equal. We won't stop until that is true for everyone. I live in Missouri (a red state) and I fear that marriage equality will probably come close to last for me, but I hope to see it in my lifetime. I refuse to be discriminated against any longer. I'm taking a stand against my family AND my government. Are you with me?
Equality is coming for all. We CAN do it. We WILL do it. Will you be ready?

Being a little concerned about our Progress, I checked out 'Log Cabin Republicans' They are now up to 24 members & last entry was about 8 months ago. I joined here on Stonewall Democrats Oct 20 of this year. I have recruited 32 members now, and just noticed that at least 3 of them have recruited others. Over 50,000 members have joined another cause 'Stop hate crimes against the Gay Community'. But I think you have to stand up in the more political causes to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! I want to reach over 5,000 members in THIS Cause before Next year's elections. I want over 1,000 to join the IOWA Stonewall Democrats cause by then. Be present in your Precinct Caucus, Recruit and Support GLBT Friendly Candidates, give time and money to their campaigns. Be Counted when it Really Counts. Freedom is never Free!
