All vets that have been to war should be watched for this illness. Nine out of ten have disorders due to the dangers they face daily. Most are forced to use self treatments that are not legal or other wise or drink themselves to death when this could be prevented if people would take interest in fighting for them they would survive better and longer lives without the fear they have to deal with every day.......

I salute you mam. (veteran, PTSD,VA disability rating 80%)

My husband was a Viet Nam Vet. We had never heard of PTSD, but he had it and had no help. I have recently retired from counseling soldiers and their wives and family members, as well as some Veterans. This can be a debiltating syndrome that destroys soldiers, marriages, and families. Please give back to all our soldiers who have sacrificed so much (and to continue to sacrifice on a daily basis). Please make a habit to pray for them and their families, and NEVER forget their sacrifices....

PTSD is a real psychological diagnosis...it is debilitating...you never know when it will sneak up on you...flashbacks, anxiety, depression. It has appeared in wars under different names...noted in the Cival War, WW1 & WW2, Korean, Vietnam. Because of the study of soldiers that presented with this diagnosis they have found that it can occur with anyone who has experienced any traumatic event in their lives. Many Service Men & Woman self medicate with alcohol and drugs and have not been taken care of which is sad. They ncould live.

Hey Ron, My PTSD is 60% still waiting on Agent Orange Claim, Right now i, m losing teeth at the rate of one a month, so hope something breaks soon, it, s possible I may have to have a hip replacement, so not doing so good but fingers still work -Sort of. Take care my friend. Going to Rally Bye!

I am a reasonible person, People who put their lives on the line to protect and serve our nation should be treated with honor and respect.

A lot of people don't understand P.T.S.D,does not understand what it does to someone that has to take someone life, believe me I know.

I am particularly concerned that national guard veterans don;t get the same benefits of other vets.

They served their country...now it's give back time!

Being a Viet Nam veteran myself I when I returned from this war, I could not wear my uniform due to the possibility of being treated shamefully for what happened. But the truth of that war has never been told to the people of America and in my opinion will never be told until the Generals who blame a lonely Lieutenant for the atrocities at Mai Lai. Now our veterans are coming back from Iraq, Afghanistan and places where they have stationed to keep the fragile peace they were told to...

But the truth of that war has never been told to the people of America and in my opinion will never be told until the Generals who blame a lonely Lieutenant for the atrocities at Mai Lai. Now our veterans are coming back from Iraq, Afghanistan and places where they have stationed to keep the fragile peace they were told to maintain. My son, joined the Army and became a Sapper was stationed in Afghanistan, Iraq, Cosavo and other places to many to list here. I was afflicted by PTSD and suffered terribly. Finally, due to the effects of PTSD died as a very young man with two children left without a daddy.
