In 2011 workshops and deliveries of Values in Education libraries began Friday the 8th of July with VMS-Learning, Centre, Tardeo Road. Here we met with 7 dedicated special educators to hold a workshop and deliver a library along with 60 health and manners coloring books. Much discussion ensued as to how to utilize, especially the audio visual components of the library, which make excellent modeling tools for children/individuals with special needs.

On Friday the 15th we interacted with 12 committed social workers and volunteers at Don Bosco’s Shelter and saw firsthand the impact education and a new start has had on the young street boys this organization works with. We held a workshop delivering a library along with 100 health and manners quote books and found the questions and discussion with this organizations team to be very helpful in giving further purpose to the Values in Education curriculum.

Friday the 22nd of July began with a two hour drive to Family Service Centre Colaba, an organization whose enthusiastic team works to strengthen and promote the family unit. Having delivered a library to this organization in 2010 we were excited to receive their feedback as well as their request for an additional library and teaching aids. We conducted a workshop with 11 social workers and interns and delivered a library along with 200 coloring books.
