I am 38 and the first in my family with NF2. I am very blessed, so far I have only had to undergo 2 brain surgeries and I had 4 tumors treated with Gamma Knife. At my age, with NF2, that is not very many! I have 4 children and a grand-daughter. We don't know if any of them have it yet! By raising money and awareness we can help so that they can find a cure!

lisa my daughter was 12 when she lost her hearing, after several hospital appointments we asked for a ct scan its from that we found she had 3 tumors 1 at the top of her spine and 1 on each hearing nerve.it was explained to us what it ment she had nf2 we had brain scans it took months to get the results but we were ok lisa is the 1st in our family,life has never been the same its almost 6yrs she is now 18,and its heartbreacking she hasnt lived a normal teenage life,its always hospital appointments and surgery.Nobody understands only the people who are living a nf2 life
