Bringing basic health services closer to the people
In the southern part of Rachuonyo North District in Nyanza Province of Kenya is Wikondiek Community that comprises the following villages; Wikondiek, Wachara, Wimagak, Lwanda and Gul. The people living in these areas are typically poor and to make matters worse, they have no health facility nearby and have to travel long distances for basic health services. Time has come to bring health services closer for these people and this comes in the form of mobilising the community for the construction of a community Health Centre. Your support will go along way in helping the community achieve this feat and having the health centre open to operations on 26th December 2010. As they say in Swahili, "Umoja ni nguvu, utengano ni udhaifu".
