Eliminate city obesity! Teach our urban kids to cook and eat nutritiously!
Many, many groups and individuals have contributed to making our old equipment room off the gym into a shining new kitchen.
Once completed, this kitchen will house cooking classes for children and parents, as well as nutritious dinner and snack items for our Open Gym youth. We will eliminate their usual gym dinner of hot chips or juice from the corner store!
Though much has already been raised or granted to the $10,000 project, we need an additional $1,300 to make the kitchen subfloor fully safe for use.
