Recent Cause Activity
I am a mother of 2 boys who are teenager and I know that they drink, they think that I don't but the one is 18 and at college, I believe he should have a right to drink. He has to sign up for selective service so if they ever went to draft again he would have to go to war. If you are old enough to die for your country you are old enough for 1 last drink on your country. This would solve alot of drinking driving with underage, steeling alchol, and plan wanting to drink. If you give someone the right to do it, then you find less people who want to have it.
Help support sane policies regarding young people. If we can achieve some measure of freedom for the most disadvantaged, there's hope for the rest of us.
If 18 year olds can join the military to go to war and can vote for president then why cant we sit down at a table and drink a beer?
Obama has started taking public input into items we'd like to see him change at Change.org. There wasn't a drinking age item so I created one. We need 500 votes to move it into the 2nd round.

Kids binge drinking like crazy on their 21st birthday-- we make that age too big of a deal. Ridiculous. Anyways, if we made the drinking age 18, they'd only be binge drinking on 18 shots, instead of 21.... lol.
I don't want the right to pump my body to a BAL of .38, I just want the right to have a goddamn glass of wine at dinner without having to get looks from my parents, or persuade them for that matter.

I GOT ARRESTED JUST FOR TRYING TO GET INTO A BAR, AND NOW IM GETTING SUSPENDED FROM UGA, LOSING MY LICENSE, GOING TO JAIL, GETTING PUT ON PROBATION (PLUS 100+ HOURS COMMUNITY SERVICE AND FINES). I DIDNT EVEN PLAN ON DRINKING, THIS HAPPENED AT 2 IN THE AFTERNOON, I JUST WENT BECAUSE MY 21 YEAR OLD FRIENDS WERE GOING, THERE WAS A COP BY THE DOOR AND ARRESTED ME JUST FOR TRYING TO USE A FAKE ID. NOW MY LIFE IS RUINED.

I'm against underage drinking, but with 21 as such an irrational age how can you expect kids to respect that?

I'm currently living in Brazil where the drinking age is 18. Alcohol abuse is a much smaller problem.

18 should be the right to drink, If you can die for your country you can have 1 last drink before you do so!!
