Put Guria's future on a solid foundation

Guria Gowala is heading into her final year of college for a degree in Computer Applications. This degree will give her a ticket to participate in the tech boom in India, something she would have never imagined possible 10 years ago as an orphan living in a residential care home.

Despite Guria's obvious intelligence she was discouraged, as many girls are, to pursue much education. She kept at it and took basic computer skills at our Uddami Computer Training Centre. She expressed an interest and ability to continue her computer education beyond what we usually offer. She hopes to become a software developer.

Due to Guria's hard work and dedication she is almost at her goal.

Her first 2 years were generously funded by a German foundation (BONO Direct Aid Association) and Janis Wilkins, a friend of Alison. We are now looking for funding to allow her to complete her education.

The total amount needed is about 1300 usd. Each semester of tuition costs about 330usd and she needs about 80 usd per month for 8 months to cover tuition and living expenses.
