Our mission is to promote meaningful public engagement in the humanities.
The Oklahoma Humanities Council is an independent, nonprofit organization and the state affiliate for the National Endowment for the Humanities. Through projects that focus on K-12 education and community building, and through grants for public programming and humanities research, we strive to stimulate discussion, inform new perspectives, and actively engage people in community life.
