I have never seen a dog fight. I have rescued and fostered several dogs who have suffered the violence. Heart breaking and very breaking of the dogs. Some dogs need can be rehabilitated and some can not be.
These cruel people who cause this horrible violence need to be apart of strong punishment. I think equal to what they do to the dogs.

I've never actually seen one like i real, but I've seen dog fights in Animal cops on Animal planet..it is horrible!! Most of the dogs that they rescue have to be put down...This is very cruel and I hope that this people weel be severely punished!! I have a dog and I could never do this to him.

I have never seen one of these fights but its abit unfair when these poor dogs are put on death row cause bastards want to fight them eg my beautiful red nose pit bull had to be put down a few years ago cause they were a banned breed - butch wouldnt hurt mouse let alone anything else R.I.P Butch

My girlfriend rescued a American Pit Bull from a fighting club. Lady Rage is the sweetest dog I have ever known and had her at my office everyday. Never an incident.
I have said this many times and would like to continue to voice my opinion on this. Dog fighting is horrendous, and usually the other dog dies in a fight. If the dog does lose, it is then taken and beaten, or starved to death by the owner. That is just One factor. The other is the irresponsible ownership of the dogs. The ones that do win are walked around like a "prize possession" in community's and public parks. In my opinion it is the same as a madman walking around with a loaded weapon. I have witnessed first hand the repercussions as innocent human beings being the victim of such cruelty. My daughter at the age of 4 was severely attacked by a "prize winning" fighting dog. It was the worst and most horrifying experience, myself and family have ever gone through. My daughter is now 10 years old and has gone through numerous accounts of reconstructive surgery. Doctors say they dont know when the surgeries will stop if ever. I will continue in the cause of stopping dog fights and will always believe that owners should be charged with Felony Animal Cruelty. It is not the dogs fault nor is it in their "nature" to fight and kill. It all depends ...on how much you love and take care of the animal, no matter the breed. Always know, if you honestly can't take the time in training, loving and caring for a dog like it was your own child, Don't get one and always be aware of "human made" "vicious" animals. Teach your children to never walk up to just any random dog.
