my 8 y.o. son was dx in June 2008. His behavior wasnt himself-teeth were coming in gray/black-migraines-bloated belly, crying for no reason-is this a childhood?! I know alot of kids dx with ADD or ADHD-do they really have it? or is it merely a SYMPTOM OF CELIAC? Answer-could be both-get tested! So many symptoms that come with this disease-its an autoimmune disease-just like MS,Lupus,Hodgkins,Diabetes and so much more....

Hi, I found out just this past December I had Celiac Disease. I had breast cancer in July, I had hernia surgery in October. More went downhill after that, I was having lots of diarrhea, got dehydraded, spent 6 days in the hospital, that's when I found out i had Celiac after tests. I'm doing well on the gluten-free diet. It does get expensive though!

This disease is little known but widespread. People dealing with this have to do so their whole life and get little support because people just don't know anything about it. Do some research if you know someone with this and educate yourself...this disease makes people feel isolated and left out of so many things you just can't imagine

Big or small every donation to the NFCA helps us get closer to our goal of securing diagnosis for 1 million people, doubling the size of the gluten-free marketplace, and training schools, hospitals and community institutions. Together we can Restore Health and Reclaim Lives. Watch our video here http://bit.ly/83PuMW and Give Health for 2010!

Hi all, I have been gluten free for almost a year now, January 2nd will be a year I can not begin to exsplain the will power it taked to be gluten free and the frusteration one exspriences while dealing with this deisease, I was dianosed with celiac alomost a year ago. When first starting to be gluten free it is so challenging you do not know where to begin or how to understand celiac beacause most doctors know nothing about it, it is something you have to figure out for yourself. I often feel like the burden on people I just think that way, I hate being the one who always has to choose where we eat and inconveince people when I go over there house for dinner. I have learned how to live with celiac at 19 years old .... I feel so much better and am healthy I never cheat on my diet beacause I work so hard to not be contaminated with gluten. I am thankful for all the people in my life who support me threw it beacause I often get frusterated and its hard for those who dont have to understand how it truly feels but thoughs in my life that are always there and help me to be healthy meen so much to me I could not do it without them. To all those on here with celiac, I hope you are truly gluten free I know it is diffcult but in the long run it is so much more healthy for you.
