One World now supports nearly 50,000 children in accessing basic necessities such as food, shelter, education, and healthcare through 25 grassroots projects in 14 countries. There are many more children who face profound challenges for their survival; One World wants to make a difference in their lives. It’s time to take a big leap, to double the number of children we support by 2015.
Our campaign to raise $100,000 will allow us build capacity in the form of an additional staff member. We currently have only two staff members and rely on board members and an army of volunteers for additional support. Hiring a part time Program Manager for three years will assist us in handling existing projects and new ones with greater confidence and expertise. By adding one part-time professional to our team, we will create a more efficient environment for supporting Projects and Champions, reviewing potential new projects, handling donations, increasing community outreach, forming new partnerships, and sustaining development work. This new capacity will be our key to doubling the existing number of children we support.
