Greatness is not achieved by words but by hard work, difficult choices, actions and sacrifice. It takes more than intellect and general knowledge to make a leader ethical and moral. It takes courage and ethics. Certainly evolution's path towards greatness is not easy. The problem before us is how can courage and ethics be concentrated so that society can create ethical men, women and leaders. History has been dominated more often by unethical men and women who have rejected the principles of life "awareness" and embraced the principles of destruction (happiness without awareness and domination of some aspects of Machiavellian philosophy). Ethics are rules of optimal behavior. [5]
Cyrus the Great, the father of first Human Rights declaration over 2500 years ago, who advocated the abolition of slavery, ethnic or racial discrimination, freedom to choose one's place of residence, freedom of religious belief, and the establishment of peace among nations. Such ideas and dreams are still alive and are clearly esteemed by all those who believe in human dignity, new secularism and human rights. The Persians regarded Cyrus The Great as The Father, the Babylonians regarded him as The Liberator, the Greeks called him the Law-Giver, and the Jews called him the Anointed of the Lord. Prof. Richard Frye of Harvard University is quoted as saying, “…Surely the concept of One World, and the fusion of peoples and cultures in one 'Oecumen', was one of [Cyrus the Great’s] important legacies”. Therefore, Cyrus the Great is considered to be one of the greatest political leaders and liberators of all time who delivered the dream of his generation. October 29th has been designated by SavePasargad team as the international day of Cyrus the Great, the King of Kings of Persian Empire who declared and executed the first charter of human rights in the world, which is also known as the ‘Cyrus Cylinder’. After many years of struggle for freedom, we recognized the importance of Cyrus The Great achievements when in our era the UN Human Rights Charter has not been enforced in many countries after 60 years of signed agreement among all nations in this small blue planet earth. Degraded leadership qualities, ethics and truth in past 30 years in many countries around the globe created new era of extreme greed, stupidity, dogma, lies and corruptions in massive scale at different levels of governments, banking, insurance and corporations in many coutries.
Unfortunately many religions, ideologies, all versions of Islam, Terrorism, Soviet Communism and Capitalism have not been able to resolve complex modern world problems, deliver promised peace, international justice system, fairness, equality of opportunities, security, stable positive progress, happiness and prosperity …
