Please consider a year-end contribution to the RESULTS Educational Fund. The Cleveland RESULTS group had a major success this fall when we hosted an education advocate from Kenya, Mary Njoroge. Mary had overseen the transition in Kenya in 2003, when the government abolished fees for basic education and 1 miilion additional children showed up for school. Mary’s powerful success story, and her conviction that this success can be spread with funding assistance from the developed world, inspired a wonderful opinion piece by Sharon Broussard, an editorial writer at the Plain Dealer.
RESULTS has been offered a challenge grant until the end of the year – all gifts to the RESULTS Educational Fund (which are tax deductible) will be matched by an anonymous donor up to $30,000. In making this offer, the donor thanked RESULTS for the opportunity to support such an effective organization. We think the best way to offer our thanks back is to raise the $30,000
The Cleveland RESULTS group has a goal of raising $1500 in support of the challenge grant. It was the RESULTS Education Fund that helped pay for Mary Njoroge’s visit to Cleveland, making it particularly fitting that our group participate in this challenge.

The Cleveland RESULTS group has a goal of raising $1500 in support of the challenge grant. Our biggest success this year was thanks to funding from the RESULTS Education Fund to bring Mary Njoroge to Cleveland. Mary oversaw the transition in Kenya in 2003, when the government abolished fees for basic education and 1 miilion additional children showed up for school. Mary’s powerful success story, and her conviction that this success can be spread to the 75 million children who are not in school with funding assistance from the developed world, inspired a wonderful opinion piece by Sharon Broussard, an editorial writer at the Plain Dealer. It's particularly fitting that our group participate in this challenge.
