Operation Gratitude Supporting the Troops is not a partisan, one-sided affair--it is for all Americans. Join Operation Gratitude as it sends its 500,000th care package addressed to an individual Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine deployed in a combat zone this year!

I have enjoyed all the years of being associated with OG. I first contacted Carolyn in 2003 to send care packages to my nephew's battalion from Fort Hood I was able to gather 400 names from the 4th ID; turns out they were the platoon that captured Saddam Husein from his rathole. The next year I was able to gather 120 names from my brothers reserve unit USMC deployed to the Euphrates River as Anti Terrorism Task Force; I used some frequent flier miles to travel to Burbank CA to participate in a holiday drive for Veterans Day suprising Carolyn all the way from Texas. It was the most rewarding experience and the friends you make on the assembly line, letter reading group and others that I made a second trip in 2007 for the Memorial Day weekend Patriotic Drive staying with my friends Rose and Dave from OG so those of you who want to be there just do it and go you will never regret it. During both times I was there I was able to pray over the names I had submitted for blessings and safety to those soldiers and marines to come back to their families. My last trip I was able to supply my son's Civil Affairs PsyOps Battalion names for care packages. I have been an Army mom now for 12 years and the feeling of pride goes deep in the OG organization. Thanks Carolyn
