Three years ago as I approached my 36th week of pregnancy, I could never imagine in just a few short hours how my life would forever be changed. Stillbirth is a silent killer. Almost 30,000 US families each year are robbed of having the chance to watch their children grow. Like myself, these mothers are blindsided with the death of their baby. I never knew that after 9 months of a healthy pregnancy that my perfectly healthy baby could die. I was left in shock and disbelief. All i could think of was that all of the hopes and dreams i had for Faith were destroyed. I couldn't think of the importance of creating keepsakes and how much they mean to me in the future. Keepsakes are vital in coping with the lifelong grief the death of a child causes. These are the only memories we have of our babies. I created the baskets to ensure that other parents affected by Stillbirth have the tools to create memories with their baby.
