Variety Child learning Center (VCLC), is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit center that offers special education and related therapies for young children with learning, language, and behavior challenges, including autism. Programs and services are provided to residents of Nassau County, Suffolk County and New York City. VCLC offers support programs for the families of VCLC children and training for professionals. All programs are guided by the concept that early intervention (EI) with parental involvement can make a lasting impact on a child’s later development that is not possible if services are delayed. VCLC was founded by Judith S. Bloch in 1966, as Preschooler's Workshop. The name of the school was changed to Variety Preschooler's Workshop (VPSW), and later changed again to VCLC, to reflect the broad array of programs & services for children, families, and professionals.
