After a rather lengthy hiatus with few bulletins, Project Play Africa is back with exciting news!

Our co-founders, Dave Stahl and Mike Mitchell, returned to Niger, West Africa this week to continue our mission. Teamed up with another NGO, Pencils for Kids, this trip PPA is focusing our effort on the area of Libore - a community of ~80,000 just outside of the capital city of Niamey.

This year our mission goes beyond distributing balls and promoting youth sport through recreation. PPA is working with the community leaders of Libore to develop a youth soccer league and a system of clubs.

Dave and Mike have been in-country for 5 days ... they have visited many villages, more than 40 schools and are facilitating coaching clinics and discussions on how to organize a system of club teams.

They are making a difference in one of the ten poorest countries in the world that is currently crippled by a severe drought. They are bringing joy to the children of Niger!
