Vets Beyond Borders is a not-for-profit association incorporated in Australia. Vets Beyond Borders co-ordinates and runs veterinary based animal welfare and public health programs in developing communities of the Asia and Pacific region.
VBB is currenlty running two large street dog health and desexing programs in Sikkim and Ladkah, Indian Himalayas. Training and skills transfer to local veterinarians and para-vets is a main focus of our programs. Field camps and volunteers have operated in various parts of India (Dharamsala, Bodhgaya, Delhi...), Sri Lanka, Bali, Thailand and various Pacific Islands.
VBB works with local governments and charities to establish and run ABC-AR programs (Animal Birth Control Anti-Rabies). Over the last 3 years we have saved thousands of dogs from death by shooting, poisoning, beating and starvation.
